The connection between your 'ia' (flow) and the environment

We all know that water is essential for life, but did you know that it can also be used as a lens to help us understand our own personal flow? By taking a water-centric approach, we can gain insight into our own energy levels and how we are responding to our environment.

Water is constantly in motion, ebbing and flowing with the currents of the world around us. Just like water, our energy can rise and fall in response to various experiences and situations. As we wade through life, we must be mindful of how our energy is affected by our environment. Acknowledging and understanding our flow through a water lens helps us better regulate our energy levels so that we don’t get too high or too low.

One way to use a water lens to understand your flow is to pay attention to your body’s reactions. Our bodies often give us clues about what kind of energy we are dealing with. If you feel tense or agitated, it might be an indication that you are feeling overwhelmed by your current situation.

On the other hand, if you feel relaxed and at ease, it could be a sign that you are in balance with your environment.

There is so much we could all learn from rivers and nature. And when we understand the importance of being one with our waterways we get closer to understanding the local Whanganui tribal saying "Ko au te awa ko te awa ko au - I am the river and the river is me."
